About me
The Art of Light: From Heritage Conservation to Contemporary Creation
My journey with glass is a blend of academic precision and creative storytelling. I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Decorative Arts from the University of Nottingham and a Master’s degree in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management from the University of York. This background has given me a deep understanding of both the soul of traditional craftsmanship and the possibilities of modern design.
My career has taken me across continents—from building craft studios in Vancouver to restoring the light of historic windows in York. These diverse experiences taught me that glass is more than just a material; it is a medium that captures time, emotion, and sunlight.
In 2021, I founded Mr Mango Glass Studio. Since then, I have had the privilege of creating over 90 bespoke commissions and introducing more than 200 students to the meditative craft of glassmaking.
Now based in Loughborough, I continue to explore the delicate balance between heritage and innovation. Whether I am working on a large-scale architectural commission, crafting intimate wedding keepsakes, or hosting a weekend workshop in my garden studio, my mission remains the same: to bring the timeless beauty of stained glass into modern homes.
I believe that everyone should have the chance to touch the light. Welcome to my world of glass.
